Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Forschungsdatenmanagement

Workshop on Research Data Management for (bio-)medical Sciences

24.03.2022 - 25.03.2022

The goal of research data management is to produce self-explanatory data sets. Can you reproduce your research project in a few years? Would your colleagues and collaborators be able to understand your data without you having to be present, and would anyone be able to find and cite the research data you generated?

This workshop presents the fundamental principles of data management. For example, it explains how to write a data management plan, as well as how to report, document, store and archive research data for reuse.

The workshop provides both generic and subject-specific requirements, standards and recommendations, as well as information on relevant site-specific RDM services and infrastructures. In addition, we present best practice examples from the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). Sufficient time is planned for discussions and questions. It is presented by ZB MED – Information Centre for Life Sciences, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Berlin Institute of Health at Charité.
