Workshop Research Data Know-How for Geographers



The University Library and Computer and Media Service of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin organize a workshop with the topic "Research Data Know-How for Geographers" in summer semester 2015.

The following topics can be offered depending on interests:

  • What is research data?
  • Why research data management?
  • How does successful research data management look like? Which aspects need to be considered (technical requirements, data models, costs, licence issues)?
  • Research data management at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
  • How does the concrete work with repositories look like?
  • Practical work with Pangaea® repository
  • Discussion, open Question-and Answer session

You can inform us in advance, which topics you are particularly interested in.
Previous knowledge is not required.
